A hallmark of Alecse’s work is his intentional use of soft focus, which evokes the atmosphere of mid-20th-century travel posters. These subtle blurs are not imperfections, but deliberate artistic choices that add depth, warmth and a dreamlike quality to his scenes. This is complemented by the half-tone effect, a reference to vintage printing techniques that brings texture to the finished artwork. Together, these elements form a visual language that is recognizably Alecse’s.

Each poster also carries Alecse’s signature panel, or “cartel”, integrated directly into the composition. More than a simple signature, it has become a recurring feature of his poster style and identifies the artwork as an original creation by Alecse.

In 2025, his Bears Week 23 poster was featured as a full-page artwork in the exhibition book accompanying the Mucem’s exhibition on naturism. Luxury publisher Assouline also acquired the rights to his Saint Barth, Saint Jean poster for a full-page illustration in its book dedicated to St. Barts.

Following in the footsteps of his father, Bernard Jardel, a painter whose work was exhibited internationally, Alecse has developed his own distinctive approach to poster art. His work has also been commissioned by hotels, restaurants, authors and brands, bringing his retro-inspired aesthetic to projects well beyond the traditional travel poster.

The process is collaborative and typically includes at least three rounds of proposals, allowing for refinements until the final design is perfectly aligned with your expectations.

• First Round: Delivered within 3 to 5 days, depending on the complexity of the brief.
• Additional Rounds: Each round generally requires 2-3 days, but may take longer for intricate requests. On average, most designs are approved and ready for production within 10-15 days. 

However, this timeline may vary based on the complexity of your project and the responsiveness in providing feedback.

Once the design is finalized:
• Printing Time: 1 to 3 days.
• Shipping: Posters are dispatched to the courier service promptly after printing.
