CLASSIC FRAMING

Our Classic Frames combine traditional craftsmanship with a simple, timeless design that works equally well in contemporary, mid century, boho, industrial and vintage interiors.

Each frame is made from high quality wood and protected with Perspex Glaze™ acrylic, offering excellent clarity, UV protection and greater impact resistance than traditional glass while keeping the finished artwork lighter and safer to ship.

Whenever possible, your poster is printed and framed close to its destination through our international production network in the UK, EU, USA, Canada and Australia. 

Local production helps reduce shipping distances while allowing your finished artwork to travel securely from the framing workshop to your home.

ORDERING YOUR FRAME

Classic Framing is a framing service and the poster is not included in the frame price. Simply add your chosen poster and a Classic Frame in the corresponding size to the same order. We will take care of the rest.

Our Classic Frames are professionally assembled and sealed rather than designed as reusable backloader frames. The finished outer dimensions will therefore be slightly larger than the selected poster size.

We can usually propose a solution based on your location and the artwork you have selected.

Everything You Need to Know About Framing

Answers to the most common questions about choosing your frame, production, shipping and delivery.

Do I need to order a poster together with Classic Framing?

Yes. Classic Framing is an optional framing service and does not include the poster itself. Add your chosen poster and a Classic Frame in the matching size to the same order. Our production partner will print, frame and ship the finished artwork ready to hang.

How do I choose the right frame size?

Select the same size for your Classic Frame and your poster. For example, a 60 × 90 cm poster requires a 60 × 90 cm frame. The finished artwork will be approximately 4 cm wider and taller overall because of the frame profile. Please contact us before ordering if you need help with sizing or a larger format.

Can I change the poster inside my Classic Frame?

No. Our Classic Frames are professionally assembled and sealed around the artwork. They are not reusable backloader frames, so the poster cannot be removed and replaced. If you would like a frame you can open and reuse, please contact us before ordering to discuss alternatives.

Where are MyRetroposter™ prints produced?

Our professional production partners operate in the UK, USA, European Union, Canada and Australia. The production location depends on your destination, format and availability.

How long does production take?

Unframed posters are normally produced in 1 to 3 business days. Framed posters normally take 2 to 5 business days before dispatch. Shipping time is additional, and these are estimates rather than guaranteed deadlines.

Is shipping free for framed posters?

Framed posters and panels have dedicated packaging and shipping fees calculated automatically at checkout, depending on weight and destination.

Do I have to pay customs or taxes?

Customs duties or local import taxes may apply depending on your country’s regulations. MyRetroPoster™ cannot control, predict, or be held liable for these additional costs.

What if my package is damaged or lost?

If your order arrives damaged, contact us within 7 days with your order number and photos of the artwork and packaging. For a parcel that appears lost, contact us so we can investigate with the carrier. Verified damage or confirmed loss is handled under our Shipping Policy and Refund Policy, without limiting your statutory rights.

Can I return my Classic Frame if I change my mind?

Each Classic Frame is individually made to match the size and finish selected for your order, and the poster is professionally sealed inside. Under our current made to order sales policy, we do not normally accept change of mind returns for framed artworks. Please review our Refund Policy and contact us if you have a concern. This does not affect mandatory consumer rights, including your rights if an item arrives damaged, defective or incorrect.

Simple and Lightweight

I bought 2 posters and had them both delivered with the classic frame. The frames were just as expected, came nicely packed and not damaged. Great finish and lightweight to hang on a wall. The only change I made was attaching a D-Ring on the sides of the frame vs the top hook that is provided.
