Why Myretroposter Prints Are Limited Editions
At Myretroposter, we believe that art should stay rare and meaningful — not just another decoration anyone can buy by the thousands. That’s why all our vintage-inspired travel posters are sold in limited editions of 300 prints per design, regardless of size.
These 300 pieces are spread across all available sizes — from Small to 5XL — but do not include postcards. Once the 300 copies are sold, the edition is retired. No reprints. No restocks. That’s our commitment to preserving the authenticity and emotional value of each artwork.
Why Our Limited Editions Are Not Numbered
You may wonder: “If the editions are limited, why aren’t they numbered?”
There’s a very good reason for this. Unlike traditional galleries, we print our posters on demand and from five different production sites worldwide to ensure fast, eco-friendly delivery. Numbering each print manually would not only increase the risk of mistakes — it would also delay orders and create logistical challenges that could affect our service quality.
But there’s more.
We’ve also chosen not to number our 300-edition prints to avoid fueling speculation. Our goal is not to create artificial scarcity or push resale value. We want our posters to be loved, displayed, and lived with, not locked in a drawer waiting to “gain value.”
This approach is part of our philosophy: offering art that’s exclusive but accessible, authentic but relaxed, beautiful but not elitist.
Collector’s Editions for True Poster Lovers
For those who do want something even more rare and special, we also release Collector’s Editions. These are limited to 20, 50, or very occasionally 100 signed and numbered prints, available in a single large format (usually XL or 2XL). Each Collector’s Edition is hand-signed by the artist, numbered, and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
These pieces are ideal for collectors, design lovers, and anyone looking for a truly unique addition to their space — or a gift that stands out.
A Growing Universe of Artistic Styles
And once it’s gone, it’s gone.
Own a Poster No One Else Has (Probably)
Because our posters are sold worldwide — from Barcelona to Tokyo, New York to Cape Town — there’s a very slim chance someone in your circle will own the same one. With over 1300 destinations across 110+ countries, each print is a personal choice, a decorative statement, and a tiny piece of the world on your wall.
Once the 300 copies are gone, they’re gone for good. So if one speaks to you… grab it before it becomes a story someone else tells.
Some Posters May Be Retired Before Reaching 300 Prints
While all of our posters are part of a maximum edition of 300 prints, some artworks may be discontinued before that limit is reached. This decision can be based on various factors — such as low sales, a desire by the artist to retire the design, or the release of a revised version of the artwork.
In these cases, the total number of prints sold may be significantly lower — sometimes just a few copies. While we currently do not publish the exact print count for each design, please note that we carefully track every print produced across all sizes and production sites. This data is securely stored in our archive for each artwork.
We may choose to share this information in the future, selectively or upon request, but we are committed to transparency without encouraging artificial hype. We believe that true value should come from artistic merit, not marketing tricks.
Artist Commitment to Exclusivity
All artists whose works are published and sold under the Myretroposter label — including our founders — have formally agreed not to reproduce or resell their artworks elsewhere in any format, once they’ve been released through Myretroposter.
This guarantees that each design remains unique to our platform, and that no additional copies beyond the authorized editions will ever be created.
