La Cantina Poster – Bravas Barcelona

This joyful retro-style poster pays tribute to one of the most iconic tapas in Barcelona: patatas bravas. Inspired by the traditional bar menus of the 1960s and 70s, La Cantina captures the vibrant soul of Spanish food culture with a wink — and a generous serving of bravas, of course.

Rendered in warm orange and earthy beige tones, this poster depicts a plump, smiling waiter proudly carrying a steaming dish of homemade potatoes with spicy sauce. The textured halftone effect and thick contour lines echo the charm of vintage food packaging and local tavern signs. It's not just a food illustration, it’s a slice of everyday life in Spain — where the best memories often start at the table.

This design is part of the Spanish Capsule™ collection created by Cha, who draws inspiration from Mediterranean kitsch, retro advertising, and the graphic simplicity of mid-century pop art. Her playful visual universe celebrates color, culture and nostalgia — making this piece an ideal addition to kitchens, dining rooms, or creative spaces.

Fun fact: Although today’s patatas bravas are found across Spain, the original recipe was born in Madrid — but perfected in Barcelona, where each bar has its secret version. Garlic, aioli, tomato, pimentón… every plate tells a different story.

Whether you’re a food lover, design enthusiast or just searching for a delicious conversation starter, this limited-edition print delivers warmth, humor, and retro flavor to any wall.
