Sri Lanka Travel Posters | Limited Edition Art Prints

Our Sri Lanka Travel Posters collection holds a special place in the story of Myretroposter. It is here, on the sun-drenched shores of Arugam Bay, that Alecse created his very first posters while running the Upali Beach Surf Resort. What began as a visual tribute to the coastline, the surf culture and the villages of the East soon grew into a complete artistic journey — the foundation of the brand you know today.

This series brings together Alecse’s early designs and more recent works, celebrating the island’s unique mix of landscapes and traditions. From the colonial charm of Galle Fort and the lush gardens of Kandy to the fisherman poles of Thalpe, the misty hills of Ella and the legendary waves of Arugam Bay, each poster captures a different facet of Sri Lanka’s irresistible character.

Warm tones, gentle halftone textures and retro-inspired compositions reflect the island’s tropical light while preserving Alecse’s signature blend of photography, drawing and digital painting. These prints are not only souvenirs of iconic places — they are pieces of personal history, shaped by years of travel, encounters and creativity.

Whether you’ve lived in Sri Lanka, surfed its world-class breaks, travelled across its temples and tea plantations, or simply dream of visiting one day, this collection brings a touch of the island’s spirit into your home. A colourful tribute to a country that has inspired both the artist and the birth of Myretroposter.

Our Limited Edition Philosophy

Original art, made to be collected.

MyRetroPoster is an independent art publisher. Every artwork is an original creation by a living artist, human-made, not AI-generated, and never a reproduction of an existing vintage poster.

Our Standard Editions are limited to 300 prints across all sizes, while selected Collector Editions are released in smaller, individually numbered runs of 20 or 50.

Every print is produced to order directly from the artist’s master artwork. This approach preserves the integrity of each edition while avoiding unnecessary stock and overproduction.
